Our Story

Established by the Forestry Undergraduate Society (FUS) in 2006, the Christmas Tree Farm has over 200 trees, potted as well as field-planted, representing over a dozen species. This Christmas season, the Christmas Tree Farm will be opening its first year of business selling Christmas Trees to customers from UBC and surrounding communities.

Revenue generated from the sale of trees supports the Forestry Undergraduate Society and a portion of proceeds from every sale will be donated to the UBC Farm and Forests Without Borders.

We pride ourselves in growing high quality, no spray Christmas trees using environmentally safe and responsible techniques and methods. All trees are hand-pruned for shape and appeal. Every Christmas Tree at our farm is breathing fresh air and living a happy life.

We have 70 trees in the field to choose from this Christmas season, a third of which are potted, live trees! Larger trees are available for U-cut, so bring the kids for some seasonal family fun! Make sure to head down to the Farm and pick your favourite tree before we sell out! Dates of operation will be posted ASAP.
